The Wanamassa Fire Company has announced the addition of two new Firefighters to the Company.

Firefighters Diomedes Diaz and Alan Leavy have just started their 12-week basic training course at the Monmouth County Fire Academy in Howell Township and will graduate in May.

“We are very fortunate to have these dedicated men in the Company,” said Fire Chief Michael Evans. “I commend them for their willingness to help their community”

Leavy is the third firefighter to join the Company after going through the Company’s Cadet Program. “The advisors to the cadet program have been doing an outstanding job” Said Evans “When these cadets head to the fire academy; they already have the basic knowledge of fire fighting operations”.
